Jean Loeb Troubh has been connected to The Jewish Board for her entire life. As an adopted child, she has a unique personal connection to the organization—the Lakeview facility in Staten Island where her birth mother stayed during pregnancy later became Geller House, a Jewish Board treatment center for adolescents. Troubh’s professional involvement with the organization began during college when she worked as a camp counselor at Hawthorne Cedar Knolls. She joined the board of trustees in her 50s, becoming the second-youngest board member at that time. Troubh served on the Governance Committee and later became President of the Board. During her tenure as President, she focused on diversifying the board by bringing in younger members and people of color, and was instrumental in establishing the family violence divisional board. Following her presidency, she has remained active with the organization as Honorary Trustee and President Emeritus.
